About Us

What is the MORSE Society?
The MORSE Society is a student run organisation that aims to help Statistics students get the most out of their time here at Warwick. MORSE is one of the most intense courses at the university, and it’s always useful to have a guiding hand in times of need. MORSE Society was voted as Most Improved Society in 2011.

What do you do?
We’ve got three main aims as a society:

Enhance academic performance
We offer academic support in a number of different forms. We’ll give you a hand choosing your modules at the beginning of the year so you can be happy you’re on the right path. We run drop-in sessions and offer online support for when you need a bit of help during the year. And when it comes to revising, we offer printed revision guides, typeset lecture notes and even revision lectures and seminars to make sure you’re completely prepared for exams.

Enhance employability
We aim to give you as much information as possible about the different career paths available to you. We run careers presentations throughout the year to give you a chance to find out more and network with graduate employers. We run skills sessions and offer advice to help you improve your CVs, application forms, and interviewing technique. We offer plenty of opportunities for you to add more to your CV.

Enhance University experience
It’s not all about work, and we’re here to help remind you of that as well. We run massive socials throughout the year to make sure you have the chance to take a break from studies every now and again. The Society is a great way to meet people and make new friends, and through developing these relationships we hope to make sure you enjoy University life as much as you can!

Who runs the Society?
We’re run by the Executive Committee, a team of hardworking individuals who are elected once a year from the members to fulfil various organisational roles in the society. Check out the current exec which can be found on our menu at the top.

How do I join?
To join the society, you just need to head over to our Union webpage and sign up there! Once you’re a member, you’ll have full access to all our services, including revision material and online academic support.
